As the Terminal Supervisor for our remote location in Laredo, your mission is to orchestrate seamless and efficient terminal operations, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction, driver coordination, and vendor management. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our commitment to excellence and compliance while fostering positive relationships with customers, drivers, and vendors. Your strategic oversight will contribute to the growth and success of our operations, establishing our presence as a leader in the industry.
Oversee day-to-day terminal operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with company standards.
Coordinate repairs, renovations, and regular upkeep of the terminal facility.
Ensure timely and accurate payment of utility bills, vendor invoices, and other operational expenses.
Collaborate with the finance department to adhere to budgetary guidelines for bill payments.
Effectively manage operations without direct supervision.
Coordinate with El Paso terminal to streamline processes and enhance overall terminal performance.
Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of service.
Efficiently coordinate and schedule drivers for pickups and deliveries.
Create efficient schedules, considering factors like delivery deadlines, driver hours-of-service regulations, and vehicle availability.
Develop and implement emergency response plans for unexpected events such as accidents, breakdowns, or natural disasters.
Utilize transportation management systems and other technologies to monitor and manage fleet activities.
Maintain regular communication with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support.
Ensure timely and accurate communication with drivers regarding routes, schedules, and any changes.
Collaborate with vendors to ensure the availability of necessary resources and maintain positive relationships.
Monitor vendor performance and address any issues promptly.
Facilitate and coordinate visits from customers, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
Address customer inquiries and concerns, providing timely resolutions.
Monitor truck/trailer paperwork, permits, and mechanical conditions; coordinate with relevant departments.
Attend regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance performance.
Generate regular reports on terminal activities, driver performance, and customer/vendor interactions.
Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
