Job Title: Operations Clerk Department: Operations Division: Freight Operations

Reports To: Driver Manager

Job Description:

Transportation clerk provides administrative support for the operations staff members; provides reports and correspondence by utilizing various software programs including Transportation Management Software, Asset Positioning Tracking Software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other productivity tool.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record inbound and outbound shipments in ITS’ TMS Database.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and on time weekly payroll reports.
  • Report on empty trailers per project/client.
  • Send daily AM equipment positions to management team.
  • Flag and report when company is not meeting minimum requirements on a per project basis.
  • Prepare and report on tractor status per fleet.
  • Maintain good relationships with clients and brokers.
  • Maintains direct contact with members of the organization to coordinate and increase the efficiency of the driver, truck, and trailer assignments.
  • Support driver managers and operations team in Laredo and El Paso.
  • Gather, organize and process driver daily paperwork, logs, manifest, vehicle inspection.
  • Prepare data using computer terminals.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements
· 1+ years of minimum experience in Transportation/Supply chain or related role (required)

English and Spanish Language Proficiency Required
· 1+ years data entry (required)
· 1+ years of customer service (preferred)
